Names and dates on a page don’t tell you much about your ancestors. Did they live in a village or an industrial area? Were they miners, factory workers, or agricultural labourers? Did they spend their whole life in the area where they were born, or move around looking for work? Did they die young due to accident or disease, or live to a ripe old age?
